Bayern Munich team news
Bayern have close to a full squad available for this game, but first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer misses out with a calf problem, so Jonas Urbig is expected to start in goal on Saturday.
Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano will start as the centre-backs in front of Urbig.
Raphael Guerreiro, who is versatile but often injured, has been struggling with a muscle complaint and might only be fit enough for limited minutes.
Alphonso Davies should be ready to start at left-back, while Leon Goretzka is likely to partner Joshua Kimmich in central midfield.
Eintracht Frankfurt team news
Frankfurt are dealing with a long list of absentees, especially in attack, with strikers Michy Batshuayi (ankle), Younes Ebnoutalib (knee) and Arnaud Kalimuendo (shoulder) all ruled out, and Jonathan Burkardt facing a race to be involved because of illness.
Their problems continue in the attacking midfield area, where Ansgar Knauff (abdominal issue) and Can Uzun (thigh injury) are both unavailable, and fellow midfielder Fares Chaibi is also a doubt with a thigh problem.
In defence, centre-back Arthur Theate is out with a knee injury and right-back Rasmus Kristensen is sidelined by an ankle issue, which could see a back three of Nnamdi Collins, Robin Koch and Aurele Amenda deployed, with Ritsu Doan and Nathaniel Brown operating as the wing-backs.
Form
Bayern Munich
Bayern’s latest outing saw them claim a comfortable 3-0 away win against Werder Bremen, giving them four victories in their last five matches in all competitions, although they have managed only two wins in their most recent four Bundesliga fixtures. That result was also significant for Kompany, as it was his first clean sheet in the Bundesliga since Bayern’s 4-0 thrashing of Heidenheim on December 21.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Frankfurt comes to this match after a positive result against Borussia Monchengladbach (3-0) in their last Bundesliga outing. Frankfurt’s clean sheet against Gladbach was their first clean sheet in 10 matches, ending a run without one that dated back to their 1-0 victory over Augsburg on December 13.
Predicted lineups
Bayern Munich: Urbig; Laimer, Tah, Upamecano, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Olise, Gnabry, Diaz; Kane
Eintracht Frankfurt: Santos; Collins, Koch, Amenda; Doan, Hojlund, Gotze, Larsson, Brown; Amaimouni-Echghouyab, Bahoya
