Mikel Arteta has called on Arsenal wingers Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli to find consistency in their game.
Both players were on target as Arsenal maintained their 100% record in the Champions League with a 3-0 win over Club Brugge on Wednesday night.
Madueke scored a stunning opener to break the deadlock, before heading in a second from close range. Martinelli made it three on the night with another spectacular effort.
Neither player has been a regular starter for the Gunners this season, but Arteta believes both are capable of reaching greater heights. He praised the match-winning ability of the pair but urged both to produce that level on a more consistent basis.
“I think at this level you want to win games. You need individual players to step up and to do something different,” Arteta said. “The same as Martinelli as well.
“I’m very happy because now we have some players back in the frontline. You can tell how much better we are with them.
“It’s about consistency. So any player that plays is willing to have those standards and play consistently.
“It’s not a game, it’s two games, three games. It’s when you do 10 games in a row every three days – and that’s the level that we have to hit.”
