Al-Hilal are in talks with Victor Osimhen after submitting a formal proposal for the Napoli striker.
Osimhen has a release clause of €75m (£63.1m) in his contract at Napoli and the Saudi Pro League side are prepared to meet that figure. Discussions are now being held between Al-Hilal and Osimhen’s representatives to discuss the club’s project and personal terms.
Simeone Inzaghi, who has agreed to take charge of Al-Hilal after leaving Inter Milan, has approved the pursuit of the forward.
Osimhen has returned to Napoli after spending the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Galatasaray.

He joined the Turkish side after a fallout in Italy and starred during the club’s double-winning season. The 26-year-old set a new record for goals in a season by an overseas player after netting 37 times in 41 appearances.
Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Osimhen, though Al-Hilal are now leading the chase.
However, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that the Saudi side have set a deadline of June 10th to complete the deal, as the club want signings finalised before the Club World Cup.
Al-Hilal face Real Madrid in their opening fixture of the tournament on June 18th, before taking on RB Salzburg and Pachucha in the group stage.
The club have set Osimhen a deadline to decide on the move ahead of the closure of the mini-window on Tuesday.
Al-Hilal are pushing ahead with plans to sign new players before the Club World Cup and are also interested in Atalanta midfielder Ederson and AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez.
