Andre Onana will be allowed to leave Ajax this summer ‘if the right club comes in at the right price’, according to Erik ten Hag.
The Cameroon international has been linked with a move away from the Dutch side this summer with both Chelsea and Barcelona believed to be monitoring the goalkeeper, who admitted last week he was ready to leave Ajax to take the next step in his career.
Ajax are once again anticipating interest from Europe’s elite in their top talent after seeing Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong depart to Juventus and Barcelona respectively in 2019, with Hakim Ziyech has already finalised a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Ajax boss Ten Hag has now given the west London side hope in their pursuit of a second Ajax star, admitting Onana is available ‘at the right price’ this summer.
“Andre is very important to us and of course we don’t want to lose him,” Ten Hag told Algemeen Dagblad.
“But it’s true that we have an agreement from last year about the development scenario and what steps we will take if the right club comes in at the right price.”
He added: “As far as I know, no concrete offer has been made to Ajax.”
