Manchester United are ready to test Bournemouth’s resolve for Alex Scott, despite insistence from the Cherries that the midfielder is not for sale.
Scott has interest from a number of leading Premier League clubs with Manchester United having turned towards the 22-year-old in recent days.
After missing out on Mateus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City respectively, United are exploring a deal for Scott.
BBC reporter Nizaar Kinsella has claimed that direct contact has been made with Bournemouth to discuss their demands for Scott this summer.

The Cherries are adamant that Scott, who is valued in excess of £60m at The Vitality Stadium, is not for sale. Bournemouth are working on a new contract for Scott and hope the offer of a release clause can persuade him to sign a new deal.
Despite Bournemouth’s stance, United are preparing a proposal. Michael Carrick’s side are ready to test Bournemouth’s resolve for a bid as the Red Devils look to overhaul their midfield group. United have already reached a €40m agreement with Atalanta for Ederson, and are keen to bring in at least one more midfielder.
