Brazil have been dealt a setback ahead of this match, as key midfielder Lucas Paquetá has been ruled out due to a left thigh injury sustained during the final group game against Japan.
There is some positive news for Ancelotti, though, with winger Raphinha returning to training after recovering from a hamstring problem. While he is fit enough to be included in the squad, he is expected to start on the bench to avoid any risk of aggravating the injury.
Neymar is fully fit and available to play a full match, while experienced midfielder Casemiro has also been cleared after passing a late fitness test, having been taken off as a precaution in the previous game.
To compensate for Paquetá’s absence, Ancelotti is likely to choose between Danilo Santos and young talent Endrick to take on a more creative midfield role.
