The three players to score in a Champions League final for different teams

Kai Havertz joined an exclusive club of Champions League players when he scored for Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 final.

It’s the second time Havertz has scored in a decider after finding the net for Chelsea in the 2021 edition, making him the tenth player to score in multiple finals.

But even more impressively, the German playmaker became just the third player to score in the decider for different teams since the competition rebranded in 1992.

Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, he was on the losing side this year as PSG won on penalties to retain their crown.

The three players to score in a Champions League final for different teams:

Cristiano Ronaldo – Man Utd and Real Madrid

The only player to score in three finals, Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Manchester United against in Moscow in 2008 on their way to a third Champions League win. He went on to miss his penalty in the shootout after the game ended 1-1, but John Terry’s infamous slip bailed him out.

Following his move to Real Madrid, Ronaldo scored a penalty against Atletico Madrid in the 2014 final, although Los Blancos were already 3-1 up and cruising to victory at that stage. He played a much more decisive role in the 2017 finals against Juventus, scoring the opening goal in the 20th minute before extending their lead to 3-1 in the second half. They won 4-1 to claim their 12th title.

Mario Mandzukic – Juventus and Bayern Munich

Like Havertz, Mario Mandzukic has scored in both a winning and losing effort in Champions League finals. He scored the opener in 2013 when Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund at Wembley and the equaliser when Juventus lost to Real Madrid in 2017.

Kai Havertz – Chelsea and Arsenal

The first time Havertz ever scored in the Champions League came in the 2021 final when Chelsea pulled off a shock victory over favourites Manchester City. It was the only goal of the game and secured the Blues’ second title.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star once again opened the scoring when lining out for Arsenal in 2026, racing through on goal before rifling his strike into the roof of the net. Unfortunately for the Gunners, it was not enough to beat reigning champions PSG.
