Nottingham Forest will demand a fee close to the British transfer record for Elliot Anderson this summer.
Forest want upwards of £100m for the England international, who is a top target for several Premier League rivals.
Manchester City and Manchester United are the frontrunners for Anderson, and Forest expect the 23-year-old to sign for one of the Manchester clubs if he leaves the City Ground.
Vitor Pereira’s team will demand the bidding starts at £100m, according to Sky Sports, with optimism that the fee could reach close to £120m.
That latter fee would make Anderson the most expensive British footballer of all time and fall just short of Alexander Isak’s £125m British record move from Newcastle to Liverpool last summer.
So far, there has been no direct contact with Forest for any club. Sides are respectable of Forest and Anderson’s battle against Premier League relegation and will wait until after the season to approach the club.
