PSG head north this weekend to take on Le Havre in Ligue 1.
The Parisians make the trip to Normandy sitting top of the table, having won 17 matches, drawn 3 and lost 3, with their 54 points keeping them just in front of Lens in what looks like a two-team title race.
Across their last five outings in all competitions, PSG have beaten Metz 3-0 at home, played out a dramatic Champions League tie against Monaco that they won 5-4 on aggregate, lost 3-1 away to Rennes, and then produced an emphatic 5-0 win over Marseille.
PSG team news
Luis Enrique’s side travel to the port city missing several members of the squad, with injuries continuing to cause problems during a busy part of the season.
Ousmane Dembélé is still out due to a calf injury and has been working on his own, so he will not feature here and it is still unclear whether he will be fit in time for next month’s Champions League clash with Chelsea.
Midfielders Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves are also unavailable, while youngsters Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou miss out as well, leaving Enrique with fewer choices, especially in the middle of the pitch.
Even with these absences, the PSG boss has welcomed the tension of the title battle, highlighting that “Lens are having an incredible season” but insisting his players “like this pressure” and continue to consider themselves the strongest team in Ligue 1.
