Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has shut down any talk of Enzo Fernandez leaving the club in the January transfer window.Â
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Real Madrid or PSG following an impressive first half of the season.
The 25-year-old has been one of the Blues’ key men this term, forming an imposing midfield partnership with Moises Caicedo.
Rosenior rubbishes Chelsea transfer speculation on Fernandez
Speaking on the rumours ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Pafos, Rosenior told his pre-match conference on Tuesday: “It means nothing to me. When you are a world-class player there will always be speculation you cannot control.
“Enzo has been outstanding and he has surprised me in a good way; in terms of what he did on Saturday, covering the ground he did when he was ill.
“He is a Chelsea player, he is very important to me and hopefully we will have a winning relationship in the short-term and long-term.”
Fernandez is a doubt to feature for Chelsea against Pafos due to that illness, but Estevao Willian, Jamie Gittens and Malo Gusto are all back and available for selection. Tosin Adarabioyo is unavailable due to a hamstring issue.
