Manchester City have added Feyenoord defender Givairo Read to their shortlist of potential right-back signings.
Pep Guardiola’s recruitment team are scouring the market for additions at right-back, as the Citizens seek a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
Walker departed the Etihad in the summer after eight seasons at the club, with Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes having largely occupied the position since.
City are seeking a more specialist right-back and Read is a player on the club’s radar.
The 19-year-old is the latest exciting product from the Feyenoord academy and has already made 48 senior appearances for the Dutch side. Ahead of the 2025/26 season, he was appointed the club’s third captain, behind Sem Steijn and Anis Hadj Moussa, by head coach Robin van Persie.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that City are monitoring his performances, though face competition from Bayern Munich. The German champions have already expressed their interest and held talks with the player’s camp.

City also admire Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento. However, a deal for the defender appears difficult due to his contract length and Newcastle’s reluctance to sell.
