  1. Date: Saturday, 22nd November.
  2. Kick-off: 5pm BST.
  3. Venue: Stadio Artemio Franchi, Firense.

Fiorentina team news

Fiorentina received a major boost as striker Moise Kean returned to full training with no limitations on Tuesday, having recovered from a bruised tibia that forced him to withdraw from Italy’s November international fixtures.

The 25-year-old, who joined from Juventus, will be back in the starting XI barring a setback, providing a significant boost to Paolo Vanoli’s attacking options.

Robin Gosens remains a major doubt after picking up an injury, while Tariq Lamptey continues his recovery and is a doubt for the game, as is Christian Kouame.

Juventus team news

New manager Luciano Spalletti is expecting to regain the services of both Lloyd Kelly and Juan Cabal ahead of Saturday’s contest. Kelly is ready and raring to go after already returning to the training ground at Continassa on Monday, having suffered a muscle injury in the contest against Udinese.

Juan Cabal should follow in Kelly’s footsteps in the coming days. The Colombian made a triumphant return following a 10-month layoff, scoring the equaliser against Atalanta, but picked up another injury in the Champions League contest against Villarreal.

Dusan Vlahovic avoided injury after undergoing medical examinations at J|Medical Centre on Monday. The striker suffered from muscle fatigue following Serbia’s World Cup qualifier against England at Wembley and missed their match against Latvia.

The final decision on Vlahovic’s availability will be made based on how he fares in training sessions over the next few days. In his absence, Lois Openda is tipped to get the nod upfront, though Jonathan David’s candidacy cannot be ruled out.

Gleison Bremer will remain on the treatment table for another few weeks after undergoing surgery for a meniscus injury.

Form

Fiorentina

Fiorentina’s season has been nothing short of disastrous, with the Viola languishing in 20th position with just five points from 11 matches. They are yet to register a single win this campaign, collecting only five draws from their opening fixtures. Their recent form has been particularly concerning, with three losses and two draws in their last five matches

Juventus

Juventus sit in sixth position with 19 points from 11 matches, comprising five wins, four draws and two losses. Under new boss Luciano Spalletti, appointed on October 29th after Igor Tudor’s sacking, the Bianconeri have shown more mixed form with two wins, one draw and two losses in their last five matches.

However, their recent away form with two consecutive losses to Lazio (1-0) and Como (2-0) suggests vulnerabilities, though their most recent result was a goalless draw in the Turin derby against Torino.

Predicted lineups

Fiorentina: De Gea; Pongracic, Ranieri, Mari; Dodo, Mandragora, Caviglia, Sohm, Fortini; Kean, Gudmundsson.

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Gatti, Koopmeiners; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Vlahovic, Yildiz.
