The German champions are currently dealing with a number of injuries, especially in attack. Playmaker Jamal Musiala remains sidelined after breaking his left fibula and dislocating his ankle in July’s Club World Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain. Despite resuming light training following a successful operation, Musiala is not anticipated to return before late November.

Canada international Alphonso Davies also continues to recover from an ACL tear suffered in March during international duty. Having spent nine months away from competitive action, Davies is set to rejoin full training after the international break and could be available for selection by December.

In addition, Luis Díaz is set to miss Bayern’s upcoming Champions League game against Arsenal following a straight red card earned in the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain, where he netted twice before being dismissed for a challenge on Achraf Hakimi. The ban does not affect domestic matches, meaning Díaz will be in contention for the weekend’s Bundesliga fixture.

Head coach Vincent Kompany, recently rewarded with an extended contract until 2029 on the back of Bayern’s phenomenal start, has stated that his squad is handling the demanding fixture list well, even amidst their ongoing injury concerns.
