PSG vs Bayern Munich – Match preview and team news

- Kick-off: 8pm BST.
- Venue: Parc Des Princes, Paris.
PSG team news
Paris Saint-Germain face a significant injury blow ahead of Tuesday’s clash, with influential forward Désiré Doué ruled out for approximately eight weeks following a thigh muscle lesion sustained against Lorient on October 29. The 20-year-old was forced off the pitch on a stretcher in the 62nd minute and departed the stadium using crutches.
Suspended defender Illia Zabarnyi will also be unavailable after receiving a red card in PSG’s dominant 7-2 Champions League victory over Bayer Leverkusen on October 21.
Despite these setbacks, Luis Enrique’s squad remains strong, with Ousmane Dembélé – the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner – featuring prominently in recent matches. Ex-Bundesliga players Achraf Hakimi (captain), Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes will lead PSG’s defensive efforts from full-back and centre-back positions.
The Parisian attack will likely centre around Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé and Bradley Barcola, with goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier between the sticks.
Bayern Munich team news
Bayern arrive at the Parc des Princes with an unprecedented record of 15 consecutive victories across all competitions, following their commanding 3-0 triumph over Bayer Leverkusen on November 1. However, manager Vincent Kompany must navigate several notable absences.
Attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala remains sidelined with a serious ankle injury sustained against PSG in July, though he is now running again with a return before the end of 2025 considered possible. Left-back Alphonso Davies is continuing his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury, whilst centre-back Hiroki Ito is also unavailable.
Harry Kane continues his remarkable goal-scoring form with 22 goals and four assists across all competitions this season. The England captain co-leads the Champions League scoring charts with five goals from three games. Kane has been deployed in a No.10 role at times this season but is expected to operate as Bayern’s attacking focal point in Paris.
Full-backs Konrad Laimer and Raphael Guerreiro (or Josip Stanisic) will likely flank centre-backs Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano, with Joshua Kimmich anchoring midfield alongside Leon Goretzka or Pavlovic. Michael Olise and Luis Díaz complete Bayern’s attacking setup, with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer set to make his 154th Champions League appearance.
Form
PSG
Luis Enrique’s side has delivered a dominant display in this season’s Champions League, thrashing Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 with six different players on the scoresheet.
Their domestic form has proven more inconsistent recently, however, with frustrating draws against Strasbourg (3-3) and Lorient (1-1), before recovering with a dramatic 1-0 home victory against Nice last Saturday thanks to a 95th-minute Gonçalo Ramos goal. PSG are currently at the top of Ligue 1 with a two-point lead over Marseille after 11 matches.
Bayern Munich
In the Champions League specifically, Bayern have swept aside Chelsea, Pafos and Club Brugge by an aggregate score of 12-2. They currently sit top of the Bundesliga with a five-point advantage and have scored an extraordinary 54 goals across all competitions.
Predicted lineups
PSG: Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, Zaire-Emery, Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola.
Bayern Munich: Neuer; Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Guerreiro; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Kane, Diaz; Jackson.
