The draw for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup has been made following this week’s fourth-round action.
Holders Newcastle United will face Fulham in the last eight, after an impressive 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek. The Magpies beat Liverpool in last season’s final to secure their first major domestic trophy since 1955. Fulham survived a scare to reach the quarter-finals after beating Wycombe Wanderers on penalties.
Crystal Palace’s reward for eliminating record winners Liverpool is another tough trip. The Eagles will take on Premier League leaders Arsenal at the Emirates. Having ended their wait for a first-ever major trophy last season, Palace are now two rounds from a return to Wembley.
Elsewhere, Cardiff City host Chelsea. The Welsh outfit are the last remaining Football League side in this season’s competition. Manchester City will host Brentford in the final quarter-final tie.
