The European minnows have won just three competitive games in their entire history, though that hasn’t stopped a San Marino-related X account taking aim at Premier League champions Liverpool this week.
Liverpool lost 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup’s fourth round on Wednesday, with the rotated Reds well beaten at Anfield. It continued a dreadful run of results, with Arne Slot’s side having lost six of their last seven games in all competitions.
San Marino Futbol, an unofficial social media account relating to all things San Marino, couldn’t help but wade in on the online stick the struggling Merseysiders are getting, with a self-depreciating joke.
