The release of Football Manager 26’s beta is here, with fans of the game eager to get stuck into the new game.

Three Premier League teams feature inside the top five, including Brighton, who top the list with a whopping £100m. The Seagulls brought in big money from the sale of stars including Joao Pedro, Simon Adingra and Pervis Estupinan in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur (£57.8m) are second, with Barcelona – despite their well-documented financial issues – surprisingly third (£56.2m). There must be some more economic levers being pulled in Catalonia…

Brentford (£55.1m) and Portuguese champions Sporting CP (£51.9m) complete an intriguing top five.
Premier League clubs dominate the list with eight of the top 15 transfer budgets belonging to English clubs.
However, those who had hoped to enjoy the riches of the Saudi Pro League will be disappointed. FM creators Sports Interactive don’t have the rights to the Saudi Pro League, meaning Saudi sides are not manageable in the game.
