Premier League clubs have been told by Juventus that midfielder Khephren Thuram is untouchable after enquiries in the summer.
Leading clubs from English football approached Juventus to discuss a deal for Thuram in the summer window, but were told in no uncertain terms that the player was not for sale.
Thuram has impressed for the Bianconeri since his €20m move to the club from Nice in 2024, earning a regular role in the France squad.
According to TBR Football, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all hoped to capitalise on an uncertain financial situation at Juventus with a move. However, Thuram – the son of iconic former Juventus defender Lilian – is viewed as an irreplaceable part of the Italian side’s rebuild.
Speaking exclusively to TBR Football, chief correspondent Graeme Bailey said: “Thuram is one of those players that Premier League clubs had the chance to land before Juve took him from Nice.
“Juve took that chance and have been rewarded, Thuram’s form since arriving in Italy has been spectacular – he was not even in the France squad, let alone pushing for a starting spot, he has really kicked on.
“Now, along with Yildiz, Comolli believes he has something special, and he is getting calls – we know that, but they have no interest in letting either of these two go, they are both deemed as ‘untouchable’ by Juve at this point.”
