Team News

South Korea

Manager Hong Myung-bo has his star players available, including Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae and PSG midfielder Lee Kang-in. The attack will be led by captain Son Heung-min, who has been in sensational form since his summer move to LAFC, scoring eight goals in nine MLS games.

Brazil

Carlo Ancelotti is dealing with several key absences. First-choice goalkeeper Alisson is out with a hamstring injury, while Raphinha and Marquinhos are also unavailable. Vinícius Júnior does, however, return to the squad to bolster an attack that is expected to be led by Tottenham’s Richarlison.

Form

South Korea

South Korea are in superb form and are currently on a 10-match unbeaten streak. Their recent results include a 2-0 win over the USA and a 2-2 draw with Mexico, showing they can compete with strong opposition. However, their only concern is a dreadful historical record against Brazil, having lost all five of their previous meetings.

Brazil

The Seleção have struggled for consistency under Carlo Ancelotti, winning just two of his four games in charge. Their last match was an embarrassing loss in Bolivia. Despite their poor form, they have a dominant record against South Korea, including a comfortable 4-1 win at the 2022 World Cup.

Predicted Lineups

South Korea predicted XI: C. Hyun-Woo; Y.W. Seol, L. Han-Beom, K. Min-Jae, J. Kim, T.S Lee; D. Lee, J.K. Kim, Paik Seung-Ho, Lee Jae-Sung; Son Heung-min

Brazil predicted XI: Hugo Souza; Vitinho, E. Militao, G. Magalhaes, C. Augusto; B. Guimaraes, Casemiro, M. Cunha; Vini Jr, Rodrygo, Richarlison
