‘No chance’ of Arsenal winger leaving before Turkish deadline

Arsenal are not planning to let Leandro Trossard depart despite links to the Turkish Süper Lig.

Turkey’s transfer window remains open until Friday September 12th and Besiktas have been named as suitors of the Arsenal winger. Trossard was subject of transfer interest from clubs earlier in the summer, though no suitable bid arrived.

The Belgium international’s place in Mikel Arteta’s plans is uncertain, following the summer arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke at the Emirates.

However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal plan to keep Trossard until January at least, with ‘no chance’ of a sale materialising before the Turkish deadline.

Trossard scored eight goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League last season but has seen his minutes limited in the early weeks of the campaign. The 30-year-old has made just one substitute appearance, totalling just 37 minutes of Premier League football.
