Five spicy fixtures you must watch this weekend:

Como vs Juventus

Como have coped with the step up into Serie A, with the ambitious newly-promoted outfit losing just once in six games. Cesc Fabregas has led Como to eighth in the table, ahead of this weekend’s glamour tie with Juventus.

Juventus have lost just three of the previous 28 meetings between the teams and the Old Lady will be keen to teach the the home side a lesson. Incredibly, Como have not scored against Juventus in the last 14 Serie A meetings.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa often deliver tasty encounters. Two teams with ambitions of ending the season in the Champions League places collide in North London.

Villa have had the better of recent encounters, winning five of the last seven, while there’s not been a draw between the teams since 2012. Expect both to go for the win again, as Thomas Frank’s improving team take on a Villa side who have steadied since their early season issues.

Roma vs Inter Milan

This season’s Serie A looks set to be tight and the winner of this weekend’s clash in the capital might believe they’re capable of going all the way.

Roma have won five of their first six to sit second in the table, with Gian Piero Gasperini building on the momentum built under Claudio Ranieri last season. It’s a clash of styles as the league’s best defence meets the division’s best attack, with Inter having found their form.

The Nerazzurri have racked up five consecutive wins in all competitions, and have scored 17 goals in just six league games.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich might just be Europe’s form team right now, reeling off 10 consecutive wins in all competitions. Vincent Kompany’s side are yet to falter ahead of the first Der Klassiker meeting of the season.

While Bayern have dominated the recent history in terms of trophy success, Dortmund have proven tricky opposition for their old rivals. The Black and Yellow are unbeaten in their last three meetings with the Bavarian behemoth.

Liverpool vs Manchester United

Liverpool vs Manchester United. England’s two most successful sides. Neither head into this clash in confident mood, but a win this weekend could transform their fortunes.

Last season, Liverpool matched Manchester United’s English record of 20 league titles and are hell-bent on taking that record outright.

A recent wobble has seen the champions slip to second, but they have a brilliant record in this game. United have not won at Anfield in a decade, though Ruben Amorim will be telling his players that records are there to be broken.
