Zlatan Ibrahimovic to stay at Manchester United despite injury?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be set to sensationally stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer, despite suffering a serious knee injury.

The Swedish striker was ruled out of the final few Premier League games as well as the Europa League semi-final and final after suffering a double cruciate knee injury in the quarter final fixture against Anderlecht.

The injury is expected to keep the striker out until Christmas, and with the 35-year-olds hefty wages at Old Trafford, he had been expected to move on this summer, with a move to the MLS on the cards.

However, the strikers agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that the striker will reject a move to the USA and could even be set to stay at Manchester United beyond the summer.

“Will Ibrahimovic stay at Man United? I don’t know, we will speak soon.

“Many clubs have asked for Zlatan. He will play at least one more year maybe even two years.
“I’ll talk with the club and we’ll see what to do about the future. It’s still soon. These offers have come from a lot of different leagues but he’ll stay in Europe.”

Zlatan is a huge influence in the Manchester United dressing room, especially on the younger players amongst the squad.

In his debut season in the Premier League, Zlatan scored an incredible 28 goals in 46 appearances.

United are believed to be keen on signing Antoine Griezmann to their ranks, while Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku have also been linked.
