Watford interested in Everton winger

Marco Silva wants to make a loan move for Everton’s Aaron Lennon, according to reports.

New Watford manager Marco Silva is looking into taking Aaron Lennon on loan. Silva believes Lennon will be an asset to his team ahead of his first season in charge at Vicarage Road.

Everton are open to offers for Lennon on a permanent basis while Watford are interested in a loan move.

Lennon has been impressive for Everton in pre-season after missing the final part of last campaign with a stress related illness. He scored in a warm up game against FC Twente last month.

However, the former England winger was not named in the squad for last week’s Europa League qualifier against Ruzomberok.

Watford have signed Will Hughes, Nathaniel Chalobah, Daniel Bachmann and Kiko Femenia and Marco Silva is looking to add two more signings before the transfer window closes on August 31st.

Everton are in talks with Watford over ex-Spurs man Lennon who has made 58 appearances for the Toffees since initially joining on loan in 2015.
