Watch – Antonio Conte post match interview

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte stated after his teams disappointing 1-0 loss to West Ham today, that his side no longer have a realistic chance of regaining their Premier League crown.

The Blues looked off the pace right from the first whistle today, and were made to pay for their sloppy start when Marko Arnautovic scored for the home side after eight minutes.

Chelsea dominated possession, but were unable to break down a well organised and resolute West Ham backline. So many of the Stamford Bridge sides star players like Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas just couldn’t get into the game, and in the end The Hammers deserved their narrow win.

Conte admitted, he thinks his players were tired and it certainly looked that way for most of the game. This was Chelsea’s sixth game after which they had played in the Champions League during the week before, and they have only won two of them, which is probably why the Italian coach was so angry during the summer when he wasn’t allowed to strengthen his squad the way he wanted.
