Walcott on the brink of completing Everton transfer

Everton are close to completing the signing of Theo Walcott after the player was spotted at the clubs Finch Farm training ground.

Walcott has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Southampton, West Ham and Bournemouth, but it seems as though Everton are set to win the race to his signature.

Sky Sports are reporting that the England winger has traveled to Merseyside to complete a medical ahead of a £20m transfer to Goodison Park.

Everton boss Sam Allardyce is desperate to add more goals to his side, and has already splashed out £27m to bring in Cenk Tosun from Besiktas. The addition of Walcott, who can play on either wing or as a central striker, will add more pace and creativity to the Blues’ attack.

Walcott has not started a Premier League game for the Gunners this season, only being included in the starting lineup during the clubs Europa League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup fixtures.

The winger will be hoping that a move to Everton will kick start his career, and be able to earn himself a place in Gareth Southgates squad for next summers World Cup in Russia.
