Top 5 Premier League Games of All Time

The Premier League has provided football fans with countless memorable matches over the past 30 years, much like the thrilling experiences at a crypto casino. Picking the absolute best is no easy task given the quality and drama we’ve witnessed.

Here’s my selection of the top 5 games based on their excitement, significance and the feelings they still stir in me as a fan.

5. Tottenham 6-4 Reading (2007)

Coming in at number 5 is a 10-goal thriller I’ll never forget between Spurs and Reading in 2007. This game started slow but erupted after half-time with an insane seven goals in 20 minutes, similar to the unpredictable nature of a Bitcoin casino.

Reading led 3-1 at one point before Dimitar Berbatov single-handedly dragged Tottenham back with four goals. The pace and drama of this match had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

4. Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal (2011)

That 2011 Manchester United demolition of Arsenal still stings me as a Gooner. An injury-hit Arsenal team was humiliated 8-2 in their worst ever Premier League defeat, a loss as shocking as a bad day at a Bitcoin Sportsbet.

Wayne Rooney’s hat-trick and Ashley Young’s stunning goals rubbed extra salt in the wounds that day. As an Arsenal supporter, it was painful to watch but you have to admire United’s ruthless performance.

3. Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle (1996)

The third best game for me was the 1996 Liverpool-Newcastle classic. Both teams went for it under their respective managers Kevin Keegan and Roy Evans, trading goals in a back-and-forth thriller with both teams still in contention for the title.

Newcastle twice took the lead in an end-to-end game, but Liverpool fought back to level through Robbie Fowler. Stan Collymore scored a dramatic late winner, leaving Keegan exasperated on the sidelines and Newcastle’s title dreams in tatters.

It had everything you want from a Premier League match.

2. Manchester City 3-2 QPR (2012)

Nothing can top the sheer drama of Sergio Aguero’s title-winning goal for Manchester City in 2012.

With City trailing QPR deep into injury time, those final minutes truly had my heart in my mouth as a neutral fan. Edin Dzeko’s equaliser set up a grandstand finish, before Aguero’s last-gasp winner etched this game into Premier League history and snatched the title for Roberto Mancini’s side on goal difference.

1. Leicester City 3-1 Everton (2016)

And of course, Leicester City’s fairytale title victory in 2016 has to take the top spot.

As captain Wes Morgan lifted that trophy, surrounded by joyous fans and players after their miracle season, it was a pure footballing moment that gave me goosebumps. It was an iconic Premier League image and a true underdog story for the ages.

While there are countless other classics, those five games will always stay with me as the most memorable and emotion-filled matches the Premier League has produced. Only the Premier League could deliver such drama, entertainment and stories to remember forever.
