Star of Euro 2016 set for Norwich City transfer

Norwich City are on the brink of securing a deal to bring one of the star performers of Euro 2016 to the Championship.

Northern Ireland goalkeeper Michael McGovern won wild praise for his performances between the sticks for the Green and White Army, conceding just three goals in four games, which were against some of Europes heavyweights.

His standout performance was against World Champions Germany, limiting the damage  to just a 1-0 defeat, a result which effectively saw Northern Ireland progress to the last 16 on goal difference.

McGovern is a free agent after his contract at Scottish club Hamilton Academicals expired earlier this summer and according to the Sunday Mail, will complete a switch to Carrow Road as the Canaries look to bounce back to the Premier League.

He will travel to Norfolk this week to complete the move which will see hom link up once again with Norwich boss Alex Neil.

Premier League clubs Burnley and Southampton have shown an interest also.
