Pogba determined to quit Manchester United this summer

Paul Pogba is reportedly determined to secure a move away from Manchester United this summer.

The French international is thought to have grown frustrated at the club’s inability to challenge for major honours, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side enduring a disappointing season finishing sixth in the Premier League and missing out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Real Madrid and Juventus have both been credited with an interest in signing the 26-year-old, and despite Manchester United being keen to keep him at the club, Madrid based publication Marca are reporting that the £89 million man has made it clear he wants to leave.

A move to the Bernabeu remains Pogba’s preferred option, however, the Spanish side have already spent almost £300m this summer on the likes of Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard and are anticipating a difficult deal to complete with United reluctant to sell.

Real manager Zinedine Zidane has made no secret of his desire to sign Pogba, with the hierarchy at the La Liga side interested by the World Cup winners worldwide marketing appeal.

The likelihood of a transfer has increased after Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, had his worldwide ban from brokering transfers lifted by FIFA.

However, Raiola also represents Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt with the Dutch defender’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain said to be close to completion and must be concluded before discussions over Pogba’s future can begin.

According to the report, Paris Saint-Germain have also emerged as a potential surprise destination for Pogba, with the Ligue 1 champions believed to be keen on bringing the midfielder to the French capital.
