Neres reveals he will stay at Ajax despite Man Utd and Everton interest

David Neres has revealed that he will be staying at Ajax, despite reported interest from the Premier League.

Ajax enjoyed a wonderful season last time out, winning the domestic double as well as being seconds away from reaching the Champions League final, only to be denied by Lucas Moura’s late strike for Spurs.

Their fine campaign has seen a number of their players linked with summer moves, with Frenkie De Jong having already been unveiled as a Barcelona player and Matthijs de Ligt having agreed terms with Juventus regarding a move.

Creative midfielder Hakim Ziyech is also expected to leave, while Brazilian winger David Neres has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Everton.

Everton forward Richarlison recently urged his compatriot to join him at Goodison Park, but following Brazil’s Copa America win, Neres has revealed that he will be staying with the Dutch champions.

“I’m having a beer because I have something to celebrate,” he told Algemeen Dagblad.

“I have to be back at Ajax on July 28. My future is with Ajax.”
