Morata already being linked with Chelsea exit!

It’s certainly been an up and down season for Alvaro Morata, and despite moving the Stamford Bridge just nine months ago, the Spaniard is already being linked with an exit.

Morata was wanted by both Manchester United and Chelsea in the summer, but United’s decision to move for Romelu Lukaku saw the Blues left with a clear path to sign the striker for £58 million.

His start to life in England got off to an absolutely cracking start, scoring nine goals in his first 15 Premier League appearances. However his form took a huge downturn, failing to score a single goal in almost two-and-a-half months. He has returned to a bit of form scoring twice in the last month, including the opener against Tottenham last week.

However, according to reports in Italy, Morata is wanted by former club Juventus. The Italian league leaders look set to lose Mario Mandzukic this summer, with the Croatian having been linked with a move to Turkey.

Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claim that the Old Lady are looking at Morata as a potential replacement having already spent two years in Turin.

The 25-year-old became a fan favourite having scored 27 goals in 93 appearances, before Real Madrid triggered a clause to re-sign him in the deal which had taken him from the Spanish capital in 2014.

Morata was left out of the latest Spain squad for their recent friendlies against Germany and Argentina, ironically being replaced by former Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
