Mkhitaryan has no excuses for United struggles

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was involved in one of the biggest deals of the January transfer market when he swapped Old Trafford for the Emirates with Chile international Alexis Sanchez heading in the other direction.

The 28-year-old struggled to replicate the superb form he showed in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund at United, but he was quick to point out that he blames nobody for his underwhelming spell with the Red Devils, when he said:

“I don’t want to find excuses,”

“I don’t want to blame anyone…I am starting a new chapter in my life, in my football career and I am very happy to be here.

“I will be pleased to achieve more than I have done in Manchester, of course. I don’t have anything to prove to anyone. I just have to enjoy myself, do my best and at the end I will see where I can reach.”

Many observers believe the talented Armenia international will have more chance of flourishing in the Premier League under the guidance of the attack minded Arsene Wenger rather than the ultra pragmatic Jose Mourinho.

Mkhitaryan put in a excellent performances on his home debut for the Gunners last weekend, registering three assists in his new club’s impressive 5-1 victory over Everton.

Arsenal face their bitter North London rivals Spurs this lunchtime, and their would be certainly no better way of the talented attacker enamouring himself to his new fans than by putting in a top showing today.
