Marseille interested in wantaway Chelsea striker

Diego Costa has made no secret of his desire to leave Chelsea this summer, and is attracting the attention from Marseille.

Costa has been heavily linked with making a return to Atletico Madrid, but their transfer ban means that if they do sign him this summer, he would be unable to play for the La Liga club until January.

This of course opens up possibilities of a short loan spell elsewhere, and there have been plenty of clubs interested in his signature, with Marseille being the latest to make their interest known.

Marseille president has revealed he’s a fan of Diego Costa and could try to sign the striker.
Jacques-Henri Eyraud told French outlet SFR Sport:

“I like his character, his grit and his sense of combat.

“He would fit in very well at OM. However, he has a complicated contractual situation.”

Costa has not returned to Chelsea this summer and is training alone back in Brazil.

Atletico have been reported to be ready to lodge a £50m bid, with £41m being paid up front and the remaining £9m as add ons.
