Manchester United agree Griezmann deal

Manchester United have have a basic agreement with Antoine Griezmann ahead of a mega money transfer to Old Trafford this summer.

Reports suggest that whilst Jose Mourinho’s side have not fully agreed personal terms with the player, they have agreed the basics.

That includes him becoming one of the clubs top earners, which would match the salary of his good friend and international teammate Paul Pogba, who moved to Old Trafford for £89million last summer.

Like Pogba, it will cost Manchester United heavily to bring the player to the club. The current release clause in the Frenchman’s contract is a staggering €100million (£85m).

Manchester United have suffered from a chronic lack of goals this season. This was further highlighted further by Wednesday nights frustrating 0-0 draw with Hull City.

They have heavily relied on Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has netted 14 Premier League goals.
