Manchester City close in on £37million midfielder

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has lined up a move for a £37million midfielder that will see the club end their interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Despite already adding Borussia Dortmund midfielder to their ranks ahead of Guardiola’s Premier League debut, City have set their sights on signing Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.

Kroos, who was close to a move to Manchester United back in 2014, is currently displaying his talents in the heart of the Germany midfield at Euro 2016, but a deal to take him to the Etihad could be concluded shortly after his participation in the summer tournament is over, according to the Sunday Express.

Adding Kroos the Manchester City squad would finally end their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who could replace Kroos at Real Madrid, whilst Manchester United will also fight for the 23-year olds signature.
