Leon Bailey reveals ‘dream’ transfer ambitions

Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has admitted it is one of his dreams to play in the Premier League.

The Jamaican has been linked with potential moves to Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks after an impressive start to life in the Bundesliga.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals and provided four assists in just 14 Bundesliga appearances this season, helping Bayer Leverkusen to fourth position in the table.

However, despite only moving to the German club 12 months ago, he has told Bild that he dreams of one day moving to the Premier League, although fell short of stating which club. He said:

“Of course I have a dream club, but I will not tell. Basically England was and still is my dream.

“And if I keep working hard, I’m sure it will work someday.”

He did go on to say that he was happy at Bayer Leverkusen for the time being and looks forward to trying to help the team qualify for the Champions League:

“The change to Bayer was just the right step for my development. I am happy here.

“And we have every chance to get into the Champions League. Europe is our big goal.”
