Jurgen Klopp has said that Ryan Kent will not be leaving Liverpool on loan this summer.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Scottish side Rangers last season, being named as the PFA Scotland’s Young Player of the Year after an impressive campaign at Ibrox.
Rangers had been linked with another loan deal for the winger, who has also previously spent time at the likes of Coventry, Freiburg and Barnsley, however Klopp has ruled out another temporary loan switch for Kent this summer, although asid he needs to ‘find a place where he can settle,’ suggesting the winger leaving Liverpool on a permanent deal.
“His time is over for loans,” Klopp said following Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Napoli.
“At the age he is now, he needs to find a place where he can settle. We will see what happens but a loan is not planned.
“He came back as a completely different player and it was a very important year for him.
“It helped being with a good manager, at a good club, with good competition, and it was exactly the right thing for him at the right moment.”
