Julian Alvarez could be on his way out of Manchester City with two clubs looking to make a serious approach for the forward in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine’s future has been a source of speculation in recent months, especially after the player expressed unhappiness at not playing more often last season.
The 24-year-old, who is currently not in pre-season training while he represents his nation at the Olympics in Paris, has said he will make a decision after the Games.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Alvarez, but it is Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid who have reportedly moved ahead with offers.

PSG have presented the player with a contract offer and ‘started discussions’ with Man City to see how feasible a deal is, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The report claims that City are looking for between €70-80 million for Alvarez, who Luis Enrique wants to sign ahead of next season. That could signal an end to their desire to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks.
Atletico, meanwhile, are planning to make an offer to Man City in the region of €60m, according to TyC Sports. However, they won’t be able to match the same contractual terms as the Parisian outfit.
Julian Alvarez on his future amid transfer speculation
Speaking to reporters earlier this week, Alvarez said: “There is a lot of talk. I am focused here [at the Olympics] because it is a short tournament. We will see after the Games. First, if I can, I will take a few days off. Then we will decide.”
He added: “At Manchester City, I feel very good, I played a lot of minutes. Maybe it’s annoying to be out in big games; players always want to help on the pitch. But my season was good, so I’m very happy.”
Man City manager Pep Guardiola responded to those comments when discussing the player’s future. “I don’t think about replacing [Alvarez],” he said.
“I know he said he will think about it. Once he has finished thinking, his agent will call Txiki [Begiristain], and we will see what happens.
“I know he wants to play in important moments, but the other players [want that] too. We have 18 or 19 players who want to play in the important games. I read he has to think about it, so okay, think about it, and after that, he will inform us what he wants to do.”
