Former Manchester United man to to make shock move to Manchester City?

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes could be about to cross the great divide by heading to United’s ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City this summer.

The 34-year old moved to Old Trafford in January 2015 as part of his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, but was released by the United last week after making just two appearances for the club, as well as falling out with former manager Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman claimed that Valdes had refused to play in the clubs Under 21 fixtures, a claim that the former Barcelona ‘keeper publicly refuted on social media.

Valdes was frozen out of all aspects of the club, including having his club suit and tie taken from him, before eventually being sent out on loan to Standard Liege.

However, Valdes’ former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is ready to take Valdes across the great divide with a move to Manchester City, a move last made by Carlos Tevez in 2009.
