Five of the best: Alexis Sanchez goals

Chile international superstar Alexis Sanchez has been dominating the headlines recently after his move from Arsenal to Manchester United. So we thought it would be the perfect time to look back at five of his best ever goals …

Arsenal v Aston Villa 2015

Big players, score big goals, as we are often told, and this thunderbastard in off the underside of the crossbar came during Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over AstonVilla in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Another common footballing saying, is that goals always look better when they go in off the bar, and after seeing this beauty its hard to argue otherwise.

Udinese v Cagliari 2010

This one is back from the Chile international’s days in Seria A with Udinese, and demonstrates his frightening pace on the counter-attack. Alexis picks the ball up deep in his own half before powering forward at breakneck speed, leaves a defender on his arse, then rounds the keeper and slots home. Golazo.

Arsenal v Southampton 2014

World class players like Sanchez are capable of scoring all types of goals. This cracker showcases the Chilean’s brilliant dead ball ability, as he curls a sublime free-kick into the top bin leaving the keeper looking on in despair.

Barcelona v Real Madrid 2013

This screamer came in El Classico no less, during the 29-year-old’s Barcelona days. Neymar plays the ball through to Sanchez who outpaces the Real defence before placing a worldie of a chip past keeper to send the Nou Camp mental.

Arsenal v Manchester City 2014

As we said, great players score all manner so let’s round this off with a stunning volley against the club he almost joined no less.

As the ball is headed back into the box by an Arsenal midfielder Sanchez executes a wonderful side-footed volley that fly’s straight into the top corner. I think we can all agree after watching theses clips that Man United have got some player on their hands!
