Lyon striker Moussa Dembele has confirmed he will stay at the French side this summer, despite reported interest from Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old is currently starring with the French U21 side at this summer’s European Championships, scoring the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Croatia on Friday night.
Manchester United had been strongly linked with a move for the former Celtic forward as they bid to add to their attacking options, with Romelu Lukaku a potential departure from the club, whilst Liverpool and Arsenal are also believed to have held an interest.
Dembele joined Lyon in a £19.7m deal from Celtic last summer, scoring 15 Ligue 1 goals in his debut season to help the club finish third and secure Champions League qualification.
Despite a potentially lucrative move to the Premier League being on offer, Dembele confirmed he will be staying at Lyon this summer.
“I still have four years left of my contract. I will be in Lyon next season,” he told reporters after his winning contribution to France’s win over Croatia, as per the Mirror.
