As the calendar turns closer to the end of May, the Premier League season is wrapping up. Attacker Christian Pulisic of Chelsea is facing a busy offseason.
A starter for the United States Men’s National Team in addition to playing at Stamford Bridge, the Hershey, Pa. native is only 24, but has already established himself as one of the top performers in the sport when he’s playing for his country, already checking in at No. 7 all time for goals scored in a USMNT uniform.
Pulisic made his debut with the National Team in the match ahead of a 2016 World Cup qualifying game against Guatemala. with a 4–0 win at the Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, acquiring his own Caesars Sportsbook Ohio promo code at the time due to his performance during the match. The Blues are heavy underdogs at Caesars Sportsbook in their penultimate match of the season, facing off against the Premier League’s finest team, Manchester United. It’ll take a heroic effort from Pulisic and his comrades to win at home as a +900 underdog, but stranger things have happened: be sure to use the Caesars bonus code if you want to bet on Chelsea so that you can maximize your winnings.
Here’s a look at what the firebrand Pulisic is up to now, and what he has on his calendar as the Premier League season winds down.
He’s on his way out of West London as Chelsea looks to hit the reset button and cut salary: the Blues looked to swap him last summer, and it looks like they’re going to make good on the potential move this year. Current reports link Pulisic to Napoli, as Chelsea may look to acquire striker Victor Oshimen in exchange for the American.
The word in the street is that Napoli wants to bring in a top flight American player so that they can start raking in money from sponsorship deals with American corporations, an as of yet untapped market for the club. While the move makes business sense, it’ll be interesting to see if the calculating endeavors of owner Aurelio De Laurentiis pay off on the pitch, or if the blatant attempt to make a quick buck will cause discord.
As Pulisic is the youngest USMNT captain in the history of the program, though, De Laurentiis would be hard pressed to find a better player to lure American brands in.
Pulisic has also been linked to Juventus and Milan, and as the Premier League season comes to a close, expect the hot stove to pick up in earnest.
Pulisic made sure to reminisce on his memories with the team during an interview with American rapper Macklemore earlier this week, talking about Chelsea’s 2021 UEFA Champions League victory and calling it the highlight of his career, as playing in Europe fulfilled one of his childhood dreams.
Even though the Blues tried to flip him unceremoniously last summer, it seems like he’s taking the high road on his way out of town.
He hasn’t had the best season in the run up to his swan song, managing just one goal and one assist in 785 minutes played for Chelsea, but that’s partly because a pair of injuries—a pelvic confusion during the World Cup, as well as a knee injury that forced him to miss two months of the season—limited his effectiveness as he played in less than half of each match he appeared in, on average.
The USMNT will take part in the CONCACAF Nations League tournament this June, the next best chance to see Pulisic in a familiar uniform before he sets sail for sunnier pastures.
