Arsenal make 'big offer'

Arsenal have made a ‘big offer’ for Nice left- back Dalbert according to reports in Italy.

Respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Arsenal have made a big offer for the 23-year-old, although no mention of the size of the offer is made.

Inter Milan are already thought to have made a smaller offer for the Brazilian who had an impressive season at the Ligue 1 side, helping them to finish third and secure Champions League football.

The defender only moved to Nice last summer, signing from Portuguese club Vitoria de Guimaraes, and made 38 appearances in all competitions.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their defence this summer, and Dalbert could be a replacement for Kieran Gibbs, who has been linked with a move away from the club.

Stoke and Premier League new boys Brighton are thought to be interested in signing Gibbs.

The Gunners have already signed Sead Kolasinac from Schalke who is also naturally a left back, but can play in a variety of positions.

Arsenal are also in the hunt for a two forward players, with Alexandre Lacazette, Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar all linked.
