Zlatan Ibrahimovic delays Manchester United move

Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was expected to complete his move to Manchester United before this summers European Championships, however the Premier League side are now being made to wait until July.

Zlatan is officially a Paris Saint-Germain player until 30th June, after which, he will become a free agent. He is of course free to negotiate his next move, as well as sign a Pre-Contract agreement, ready for his move to become official on 1st July.

However the 34-year old has decided against this, in order to trigger a ‘loyalty’ bonus from the French Champions for seeing out his whole contract.

United are willing to wait until he becomes a free agent before formalising the deal, thought to be a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months, which will see the Sweden captain pick up £250,000-a-week.

Ibrahimovic has a fantastic relationship with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and will add to United’s firepower after scoring 50 goals in 51 appearances for PSG last season.
