Liverpool travel to the Kirklees Stadium for the first time in their history tomorrow night to face Huddersfield Town in the Premier League, and their coach Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media today ahead of the game.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach discussed a whole range of issues, and of course VAR was on the agenda, after it played such a prominent role in the Anfield club’s 3-2 FA Cup fourth round defeat to West Brom last weekend.
Interestingly, Klopp claimed that pressure from TV companies forced the Ref to only allow for four minutes of added time, whereas in reality there should have been 10 minutes added on, due to VAR related stoppages.
The Reds boss also admitted his side need to get back to winning ways after losing their last two games, and gave transfer and injury updates.
