Chelsea manager Antonio Conte again stated how unhappy he is with the lack of preparation time his team have been given for tomorrows crunch Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Stamford Bridge side only returned to London at 6 am on Thursday morning after a 5,000 km round trip to face Azerbaijani side Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday. Conte stated that only having one day to prepare for such a big game is not enough, and also revealed that matters where further complicated by the fact, the plane his side where travelled on had had trouble landing due to windy conditions.
This is the second time Chelsea have been left with limited preparation time ahead of a game with another top-six side, as the same happened in the build up to their 1-0 home loss to Manchester City at the end of September, and the ex-Juventus coach stated that he believes the Premier League need to do everything they can to avoid such situations occurring in the future.
Conte admitted his side will face a very tough opponent at Anfield on Saturday, and went on to praise Liverpool and their attacking identity.
Despite all this the Italian coach said he is not looking for excuses, and his team will be ready to perform at their maximum in what promises to be a fascinating encounter against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
