This summer will see a three way battle to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero according to reports.
A few days ago, we brought you the news that Real Madrid were ready to swoop for the Argentina international. They are reportedly looking to offload Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata in order to make way for the 28-year old.
We also brought you the news that Morata was expecting to complete a move to Chelsea this summer.
However reports in the Sunday People morning claim that Chelsea could in fact challenge Real Madrid for Aguero’s signature. The article claims a deal to take Aguero away from Manchester City could be worth a staggering £75million. This would make the move the fourth highest transfer price in history, behind Paul Pogba, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the Sunday Express claims that a third party are also looking to sign Aguero.
They claim that Inter Milans new Chinese owners have put Aguero at the very top of their summer shopping list and go as far as saying they are ‘confident they can do a deal’ for the striker.
Aguero has had a wonderful goalscoring record at Manchester City, but is seemingly falling out of favour under former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola. Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus seems to be making an instant impact in the Premier League, whilst Kelechi Ihenacho has a fine goalscoring record since his breakthrough campaign last year.
