Sunderland offered chance to sign Premier League winning striker!

Sunderland are one of a number of European clubs that have been offered the chance to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko according to the Shields Gazette.

The report claims that the players agent has alerted a number of clubs around Europe about the 30-year olds potential availability after a disappointing spell at the Serie A club since his transfer from Manchester City in 2015.

Dzeko scored 10 goals in 39 appearances for the Italian club last season, and already has two Premier League winners medals from his title victories in 2012 and 2014 during his time at Manchester City.

Sunderland are interested in bringing the Bosnian back to the Premier League, but it is unclear if they will be willing to pay the strikers hefty £130,000-a-week wages, or cough up the £11million transfer fee.

The Black Cats have also been linked with a move for West Ham United and Swansea strikers Diafra Sakho and Bafetimbi Gomis respectively.
