Sunderland agree fee for Bordeaux playmaker

Sunderland have agreed a fee with Bordeaux over the transfer of their playmaker, Wahbi Khazri, according to a statement made by the French club.

The statement on the Bordeaux website reads;

The club has reached an agreement with Sunderland AFC for the transfer of Wahbi Khazri.

The playmaker has a great opportunity with the English club, and he was therefore allowed to go to England to negotiate 

The transfer fee is in the region of £9million and according to reports in France, the player will sign a four-and-a-half year deal at the Stadium of Light.

Aston Villa and Everton were also said to be interested in the Tunisian.
