Tottenham have joined the race to sign Paris Saint Germain winger Lucas Moura according to reports in France.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the French capital after slipping down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar last summer. In fact, so limited have his opportunities become, he has seen a total of just 79 minutes of action this season in his six appearances, but has still managed one goal and one assist.
He has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, with a claims suggesting he had already agreed a move to Old Trafford. However, those reports have gone quiet in recent days as United focus on completing the sensational deal to bring Alexis Sanchez to the club.
Now, according to French publication L’Equipe, Tottenham have joined the race to sign the 25-year-old. Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be interested in bolstering his attacking options.
The report claims that Tottenham gave taken steps in the last few hours, although Spurs would prefer to sign the winger on an initial loan deal, although PSG are only interested in a permanent transfer, with the cash being used to help their bid to be compliant with Financial Fair play rules.
Lucas moved to the Ligue 1 giants back in 2013, making a €40m move from Brazilian club São Paulo, with Man Utd also thought to have been interested then too. Despite having won a variety of honours with PSG, the player now accepts that it is time to move on for the benefit of his career.
Napoli and Nantes have also been linked.
