Sam Allardyce has made some astute signings as West Ham manager, but it’ll be hard to push the London side to the next level. David Gold and co have certainly backed Allardyce and given him a fair bit of money to spend this summer, and they’ll be expecting results.
Key Player: Kevin Nolan. The club captain thrives in-behind the striker, and he does score goals. He formed an excellent partnership with his close friend Andy Carroll, and he truly leads from the front both on and off the pitch.

Enner Valencia – £12million (Pachuca)
Carl Jenkinson – Loan (Arsenal)
Diego Poyet – Free transfer (Charlton Athletic)
Mauro Zarate – Undisclosed (Velez Sarsfield)
Cheikhou Kouyate – Undisclosed (Anderlecht)
Joe Cole – Released (Aston Villa)

Last season’s Premier League finish: 13th

West Ham, like always, will finish the season in a comfortable mid-table position. Sam Allardyce is a results man, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not he can get The Hammers playing attractive football. The signings he has made certainly suggest he’ll give it a good go.
